Jurata 2017 – reactivation
After a three-year break, on 5-7 April in Jurata there was held the scientific and technical conference organized by the companies AREX and NEEL “Modern technologies in the implementation of investment projects in rail transport”.
The conference has attracted even more interest than ever before, with more than 230 participants representing nearly 100 companies and institutions from the fields of consulting, design, research, executive, PKP companies, carriers, Ministry of Infrastructure and Construction, as well as representatives of the Regional Directorate for Environmental Protection and national and landscape parks, whose areas are intersected by railway lines to be upgraded.

The event was covered by patronage of the Railway Institute, Office of Rail Transport, Gdansk University of Technology, Forestry Faculty of the Warsaw School of Agriculture and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Construction.
The objectives of the conference were:

Presentation of the latest issues on the implementation of modernization investment on PKP

Presentation of the latest solutions applied in the management of railway infrastructure equipment

Environment protection issues in the implementation of investment projects of rail transport

Presentation of the issues of railway transport safety

Introduction of environment friendly solutions and technologies in railway automation systems

Exchange of experience in the design and implementation of the latest developments in the field of railway energetics, electric traction, diagnostics, infrastructure and automation of railway traffic control.
Presentations concerned as always a wide spectrum of problems related mainly to modern rail transport, including safety issues, modern technologies, environmental protection and the introduction of innovations and the establishment of appropriate guidelines for them.
There were also some surprises in the conference program. During the opening of the conference the representative of the Naval Academy im. The Westerplatte Heroes donated an honorable salvo using the land and water cannon models. There was also a traditional musical surprise.
The organizers would like to thank the conference partners, speakers and all participants for their numerous arrival . Such intense interest indicates the need to organize an event where it is possible to exchange information between all participants of the investment process, from designers, through construction companies, to the end user, i.e. PKP PLK. Therefore, we intend to return to the cyclical nature of the conference in Jurata.
