NEEL celebrated the 25th anniversary
On November 23, at the Museum Station (former Railway Museum), the NEEL Company organized a dinner on the occasion of its 25th anniversary. One of the attractions of the ceremony was official handing of the Certificate of Recommendation issued by the Association of Polish Electrical Engineers.
Marek Stolarski, president of NEEL, told the history of the founding of the company, whose founders in 1993 were several former employees of the Railway Science and Technology Center. The company initially dealt only with railway automation equipment, but gradually expanded its operations, including control devices for greenhouses and wastewater plants. One of its products was also a special power cable for audiophiles "N14E Gold" tested together with Bogdan Olewicz, the author of many texts of famous songs, including "Autobiography" of the band Perfekt.
A breakthrough for the company was cooperation with prof. Simona Kossak from the Forest Research Institute, who inspired Marek Stolarski to start the adventure with nature conservation on the railway. Thanks to this cooperation, the Animal Protection Device ("UOZ") was created, which is today the flagship product of the company. Currently, more than one thousand UOZ devices are installed in Poland. Devices to protect wild animals against collisions with trains were also installed in Russia, and in 2018 they successfully passed preliminary tests in Israel and Japan.
The guests and contractors of the NEEL company who came to the gala dinner, handed occasional gifts to the president of the company. The company also received during this evening the Certificate of Recommendation issued by the Association of Polish Electrical Engineers (SEP). The document was handed over to Marek Stolarski by Andrzej Liszewski, vice chairman of the Central College of the SEP's Electrical Traction Section. The certificate was issued by SEP on the basis of the proceeding and concerns the production, distribution, assembly and servicing of Animal Protection Equipment and the Microcontroller System of Wagon Heating "MSOW". The recommendation also applies to the equipment provided by NEEL for the traction network of the French company Galland.
