“Animal Training Methods” conference
On November 15-17, 2019, a conference from the “Animal Training Methods” series was organized by Ethoplanet, aimed at exchanging information on animal training methods, for domestic animals (primarily dogs), utility animals (e.g. alpacas) as well as wild animals kept in zoos, rehabilitation centres etc.
Prevention of accidents involving wild animals, which is a topic that our company deals with, lies on the border of several areas – it is mainly associated with the issue of safety in transport and protection of animals. However, an important aspect of preventing animal incidents is controlling their behaviour.
The training of animals kept in captivity is mainly based on conditioning, but knowledge of their ecology and natural behaviour is also very important. However, when controlling the behaviour of wild animals in nature, this is this knowledge that is the basis.
During the conference, miss Joanna Żyłkowska gave a presentation on “Controlling the behaviour of wild animals in the natural environment on the example of methods of preventing accidents involving animals”, presenting issues regarding the objectives and methods of controlling wild animals, in particular warning animals about oncoming vehicles.
